Description
Bisque shoulder head with very pale bisque,cobalt blue glass eyes,dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,outlined lips,two rows of tiny porcelain
teeth,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,kid-over-wooden upper torso and arms,bisque arms to
above the elbows,cone-shaped paper mache form from waist downward that encloses the
mechanism,with original sateen cover,wooden underbase with three spoked metal wheels.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Jules Steiner,from his deposed patent,circa
1865,when wound,the doll glides forward,then in circles,while waving her arms up and down.
Value Points: rare early doll in perfectly functioning original condition,with beautiful
bisque,perfect hands,original sateen cover,original antique costume is included.
