15" (38 cm.) All-carved wood with one-piece head and torso, polychromed head carved as though looking to the side, deeply carved dark brown hair in centerpart with long flowing casually-arranged curls, deeply-inset enamel eyes, definition of scowling lines at forehead and around the closed mouth, lightly-painted moustache, mortise and tenon-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted blue stockings and black boots, wearing silk short pants and velvet long fitted jacket. Excellent condition. Genoese, mid-1700s.
