12" (30 cm.) Standing upon a metal frame base with four cast iron wheels is a plush-wool
covered brown bear,having shoe-button eyes,embroidered nose,leather collar and silver link pull
chain. Condition: good,some loving care. Comments: Steiff,early 20th century. Value Points: the
early pull-toy teddy has attached provenance,"Finis Vaighan Scearce was born July 25,1903. He
was the youngest of nine children. In 1906 this bear was the only gift under the Christmas tree
for little Finis...Finis was born and raised in the farming community of Holden,Missouri."
