Description
18" (46 cm.) x 12" x 11" cabinet. 9" x 11" cards. A finely grained cabinet with hinged door that
unlocks and opens at the front has a number of pull-out display shelves,each containing hard
stock cards covered with decorated papers and edged with Dresden gilt papers,and each
containing a sample of needlework executed in exquisite detail. The cards contain samples of
embroidery,repair stitchery,samplers. novelty object,and even some miniature doll clothing
including a gentleman's shirt and an exquisite dress with blue silk lining. There is a card with
embroidered date of 1888. There are 33 cards in total. Excellent condition,one corner of cabinet
has wood damage. French,circa 1888.
