23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head,brown glass eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with shaded and accented lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French carton torso with loose kid patch at chest to allow "breathing",composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent,some body retouch. Marks: Brevete SGDG Y. 10 M. Comments: Maison Bru,the model marketed as "Bebe Respirant",circa 1895; when keywound at the side torso,the doll "breathes" and chest expands and releases. Comments: rare model with lovely facial shape and painting,original factory costume albeit quite frail.
