Description
5" (13 cm.) h. Each presents the intricate craftsmanship of a miniaturist working with
papers,cloth,or tragant to create a small vignette,comprising arched top arrangement with silk
flowers framing a figure with paper-trimmed costume; and a rounded diorama with dimensional
village scene. Excellent condition,one small chip on frame. 19th century,known as "cloister work"
as many pieces were created in convents or cloisters.
