throat,blue glass enamel eyes with deeply defined sockets,strong nose,closed mouth with
primly-set lips,brunette inset mohair hair,softly-stuffed muslin body,poured wax lower limbs.
Condition: generally excellent,old repair upper right leg. Comments: probably
Pierotti,England,circa 1875,the doll bears a strong resemblance to France's Empress Eugenie who
abdicated her throne in 1872,emigrating to London. Value Points: exquisite facial model with
fine details of modeling,wearing fine original costume of bronze and aqua silk with extended
train,undergarments,satin shoes,pearls,bonnet.
