Costume: rust-brown faille strapless gown with matching short fitted jacket,each trimmed with elaborate braid and lace,frou-frou petticoat,panties,stockings,brown heeled shoes,brown velvet lace-edged bonnet and matching tasseled bag,"diamond"-edged black cameo,solitaire. The costume is labeled Melanie and the doll is presented in original box labeled Melanie 2181. Excellent condition. Alexander,model 2181,the doll was shown on the cover of the 1968 Alexander catalog.
