12" (30 cm.) All hard plastic with socket head,jointing at shoulders and hips,sleep eyes,ash-
blonde hair with curly bangs and shoulder-length curls still held by original hairpins. Costume:
crisp pale blue taffeta gown with ribbon and lace trim,stiffened crinoline,pantalets with three
rows of lace ruffles,sock,black velvet shoes,pink sash,and woven white bonnet with wide brim
lavishly trimmed with curled feathers. The costume is labeled Southern Belle,and the doll has her
original wrist booklet and is presented in her original box labeled Southern Belle 1255. Near mint
condition,beautiful rosy cheeks and superb coiffure and costume. Alexander,model 1255,the doll
was presented as one of the Classics Group in the 1963 Alexander catalog "dressed with all the
charm and grace of the south of long ago".
