18" (46 cm.) All hard plastic,socket head,large brown eyes,five piece hard plastic body,brunette
curly fleeced wig. Costume: sailor suit with middy top and black ribbon trim,embroidered Mary
Martin in red,with sailor cap,white socks,black leatherette side-snap shoes. The costume is
tagged Mary Martin of South Pacific,Madame Alexander,and the doll has an original paper clover
leaf wrist tag,and its original box labeled Mary Martin and having a store tag of F.A.O. Schwarz.
Near mint condition,beautiful complexion and full fluffy hair,small faint smudge above the red
lettering on middy top,costume appears never removed from doll. Alexander,the doll was
presented in 1949 and 1950 to coincide with the Broadway play,South Pacific,in which Mary
Martin starred.
