Description
21" (53 cm.) Hard plastic socket head,hard plastic torso and legs that are jointed at hips and
above the knees,high-heel feet,vinyl arms with elegant fingers,blue sleep eyes,very full
lips,blonde hair with bangs and curls. Costume: rich sky blue satin gown with lady-fitted
bodice,Juliette sleeves,gold metallic trim,petticoat,panties,stockings,gold sling
heels,"diamond" necklace and ring,lavish gold metallic double-tiered crown studded with
"diamonds,and full-length tulle cape with brocade pattern of silver and gold metallic threads.
The costume is labeled "Madame Alexander presents Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty",and the
doll has a custom gold paper wrist label,and is presented in her original box stamped Sleeping
Beauty,model 2195 (the actual doll measures 18" although the Alexander catalog described
the doll as 21",presumably including her crown). Near mint condition,superb painting and
preservation of complexion and features,original coiffure,impeccable costume with crisp
vibrant colors and accessories. Alexander,1959,for Walt Disney,the unique facial model model
was used only for the two sizes of Sleeping Beauty and the 1960 model of Queen Elizabeth II.
