Description
12" (30 cm.) Composition socket head with blonde sculpted hair in very fluffy style from original
cartoon designs,large painted googly eyes,closed mouth,five piece body,wearing original red
pique cotton dress with white collar,muslin undergarments,socks and shoes. Condition: generally
excellent,small rub to paint on front torso. Comments: Little Orphan Annie from the original
designs by Harold Grey,along with her faithful dog Sandy with original painted finish. The set was
made by Freundlich in 1936,an indication of the abundantly long period of popularity for the
pair; afterall,Little Orphan Annie was first introduced in 1914.
