11"(28 cm.) All-composition doll with socket head,sculpted short brown bobbed hair with bangs
and defined hair band,painted blue side-glancing eyes,large black pupils,tiny bow-shaped closed
mouth,five-piece composition body with sculpted right arm. The doll is wearing an original green
silk-like dress and panties,socks and shoes,and has an original early Fan Club pin. Included with
the doll are two original dresses with slips,romper suit with bonnet,beach pajamas,two other
bonnets. Marks: Effanbee Patsy Jr. Doll. The doll was introduced in 1930 with the name
"Patsykins"; although the molds had been made with the name Patsy Jr,Effanbee decided the
name was too boyish and changed it to Patsykins in their advertising,although the Patsy Jr. name
continued to appear on the doll. Excellent condition throughout.
