16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils, shaded lips of closed mouth, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing, antique costume highlighted by wonderful knee-high blue kidskin boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders). Comments: French, Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: lovely painting of lashes, brows and lips, sturdy body.
