14" (36 cm.) Composition head with sculpted brown hair waved jauntily across his
forehead,painted blue side-glancing eyes,"O" shaped mouth with tiny hole for whistling,muslin
body,composition arms,bellows-style legs designed to emit a whistle when squeezed. Marks:
USA. Excellent condition. The doll is wearing his original green khaki soldier's uniform and cap.
The model was patented by Madame Hendron in 1926,and she offered a line of whistling soldiers
and sailors.
