Description
15" (38 cm.) The vibrantly-painted figure features sculpted and painted hair and facial features beneath a wooden hat in the shape of an early radio tube, the head and torso sculpted as one with defined blue shirt, white collar, and red chest banner reading "RCA Radiotrons"; his arms, legs and feet are segmented-wood allowing ample articulation, and his hands are slit for holding promotional cards. The figure was designed by American artist,Joseph Kallus, after illustrations by Maxfield Parrish, and produced by Cameo in 1926 as a promotional display for RCA. Excellent original condition, few very tiny paint rubs. A rare and delightful doll figure.
