8" (20 cm.) Inspired by the comic strip series "Smitty",the adventures of an office errand
boy,created by Walter Berndt in 1913 and syndicated by Famous Artists,the tin toy features
Smitty afoot on his three-wheeled scooter,with classic striped sweater,cap and brogans. When
wound,the scooter propels forward and he appears to pump the scooter with his hinged arms.
Marks: "Smitty Scooter". Licensed by Famous Artists Syndicate (Marx symbol) Chicago,USA.
Excellent condition,functions well,lithograph fresh with few minor scratches on black edging.
