13" (33 cm.) Composition socket head with highly-characterized features depicting the celebrity central figure of The Howdy Doody Show,televised from 1947-1960,having sculpted red hair,beaming blue painted side-glancing eyes,wide smile,and freckles; with all-wooden segmented body allowing infinite articulation,including swivel waist,the body painted in bright red,blue,orange,yellow and black colors,and having original green cotton bandana. Howdy is marked with chest banner "Howdy Doody,c. Bob Smith" and has original paper label of Cameo on his foot. Excellent condition,the earliest model doll from the important pioneering children's TV show. Excellent condition,and very rare.
