1.5" (4 cm.) In charming penny toy size,the miniature un-mechanized version of the larger mechanical toy,and is decorated in classic red and yellow colors with black edging. Toonerville Trolley is lettered on the side,and the passenger platforms are each marked "copyright 1922 Fontaine Fox",circa 1922,excellent original condition. Along with a boxed "Toonerville Trolley Game" with nine colorful characters on the box lid shown rushing to the Trolley and a vibrant and colorful game board featuring 9 characters including Powerful Katrinka,Aunt Eppie Hogg,Mickey McGuire,Little Stanley,Stinky Davis,and more. The box is labeled Milton Bradley,(box with worn edges,board excellent,contents incomplete).The cartoon strip by Fontaine Fox originated in 1908 and remained popular for decades as it detailed the daily adventures of a rickety old trolley that transported folks from Toonerville (the suburbs) into town and home again.
