12"(30 cm.) Each is a standing lithographed tin figure of a star of the early radio show,Amos and
Andy,having wonderfully detailed costumes of variegated colors and patterns,name
tags,characteristic hats. When wound,their bodies sway and their eyes move up and down and
side to side. The series was created by Correll and Gosden in 1928; they wrote the daily story
line and voiced the characters,as well as the voices for 128 other characters in the story; it is
credited as being an originator of radio serial comedy and was broadcast for decades.
