8" (20 cm.) Each is one-piece lithographed tin figure depicting a popular puppet figure of Edgar Bergen's radio and theatre performances,each with imaginatively-lithographed details of facial features and costumes. When wound,they teeter side-to-side as though walking,Charlie's mouth opens and closes,and Mortimer's hat (missing) is designed to bounce up and down. Each is signed Marx with the name of the character,and copyright 1939. Excellent condition of lithography and mechanism,hat missing. Marx,circa 1940,the toy was originally marketed as "The McCarthy Strut".
