Description
16" (41 cm.) All-composition doll with sienna-brown complexion,painted facial features,dark
eyes,full rich lips,five piece body. The doll is wearing its original silk and velvet costume with
padded turban,"jewel" trim,and gold slippers with upturned toes,and has its original paper hang
tag labeled "A Thief of Bagdad Creation" on one side with an illustration of the doll,and
"Authentic Dolls inspired by Alexander KordaÍs Thief of Bagdad,I am Sabu,Created by Molly-e".
The 1940 British film was completed in Hollywood after the breakout of WWI in London,and won
several Academy Awards that year. The doll is preserved in fine original condition,virtually
unplayed with,with vibrant original colors of costume,original tag.
