Description
18" (46 cm.) The composition head with highly-characterized features depicting a broadly-
smiling man with painted side-glancing eyes and prominent nose,is swivel-attached to a
composition torso sculpted to appear as a marching band uniform and having applied yellow
buttons,and applied leather belt; atop his head is a carved wooden band-leader's hat with G.E.
label and the words "General Electric Radio". The man has wooden-ball-jointed arms and legs
that are painted as to appear as part of his uniform,wooden black shoes,ball-shaped hands with
slits for insertion of promotional cards,and is carrying his original wooden baton. Excellent
condition,original early Cameo paper label on foot bottom. Designed by Joseph Kallus of
Cameo,circa 1930.
