Description
8" (20 cm.) overall. 4 3/4" figures. The comic strip figures of Maggie and Jiggs are arranged upon
tin strips that are attached to a U-shaped grip handle; the figures have hinged arms,Jiggs
holding his classic cane and Maggie her rolling pin with her little dog at her side. When the
handle grip is squeezed and released rapidly,the figures come and go at each other,in their
classic rowdy,boisterous manner,he swinging his cane,she her rolling pin. Excellent condition.
Germany,circa 1920s. An imaginative toy,based upon the exploits of the characters designed by
George McManus,first appearing in 1913,and popular culture figures for many decades,in fine
original condition.
