Description
20" (51 cm.) Standing upon a velvet-covered base is a bisque head doll with brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly-painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, carton torso and legs, bisque forearms, holding a fan and bouquet of flowers, silk and lace costume. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism and music function well. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 4 (head). Comments: when wound and lever released, music plays and the doll turns her head side to side, nods to sniff the flowers, and then turns her head and fans herself, Roullet et Decamps, circa 1890. Value Points: lovely brown-eyed bebe with enchanting actions and music.
