20"(51 cm.) Composition socket head,green sleep eyes,real lashes,painted features,open
mouth,row of teeth,blonde mohair curly wig,five piece composition body. The little girl is
wearing her original costume of red cotton pique with white piping and a black velvet cape and
matching cap,one-piece cotton undergarments with ruffled self-edging,black socks and shoes.
Condition: very good,small splits under each eye,lips may be child-repainted,hair is tousled yet
dense and fine. Marks: Trade mark Little Colonel Alexander Doll Co New York (an unusual cloth
label with profile illustration of woman,on black cape). Rare model with well-preserved original
costume,circa 1935.
