Description
7" (18 cm.) Barney Google is loosely seated upon Spark Plug with loosely-attached head; when
wound the nag moves head up and down in synchronism with Barney who bobs forward and
back,and the nag glides forward. The lithographed tin blanket of Spark Plug disguises the inner
mechanism. The toy is marked "Spark Plug" on the blanket,with signature of Billy de
Beck,Copyright 1923-24 by King Features Syndicate,Patent applied For,and the base is marked
"Nifty,Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.",W. Sch 302.947 and G.M. 314.311 Germany". Excellent
condition,slightly darkened,functions well. Circa 1925.
