Description
30" (76 cm.) x 29". Constructed of vibrant patches of silk and velvet in solid and patterned
weaves,in a variety of shapes and sizes,the featherstitch highlights at the seams,backed with red
cotton sateen,and edged with a wide 6" handmade lace border. The quilt has an embroidered
date "Aug 8,1887" suggesting that it was the creation of a summer quilting party 122 years
ago. Excellent condition.
