22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with unique sculpting to depict an older wistful-faced child,prominent definition of facial planes achieved by unique four-part mold,elongated slender throat,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,painted curly lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented eye corners and nostrils,distinctively-shaped nose with rounded tip,closed mouth with slightly petulant expression on the shaded lips,well-modeled pierced ears,original brunette human hair wig,uniquely modeled body with elongated tapered-shape torso,wide hips,undefined waist,composition upper arms,bisque lower arms with attached bisque ball-joints at the elbows,separately sculpted fingers,wide upper thighs,elongated lower legs with shapely calves,elongated feet; wearing elaborate silk and velvet costume suggestive of the late 18th century French court. Condition: generally excellent,3/4" typical original firing flaw at the side-seam at the upper crown rim,otherwise bisque and body are virtually flawless. Marks: A Marque (incised signature) 27 (script on head) Danseur Russe No. 3 (pencil inscription on foot).
