17" (43 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head,full cheeks,very wide eye sockets with dark
eyeliner,grey spiral-threaded eyes,dark mauve blushed eye shadow,painted lashes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth,defined space between the shaded and
outlined lips,heart-shaped upper lip,pierced ears,lambswool wig,cork pate,French
composition and wooden eight loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,early bebe dress
and bonnet,leather slippers (also included is worn early blue woolen mariner costume).
Condition: generally excellent,original body finish albeit worn at finger tips and joints. Marks:
1. Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1877,the first luxury model of his premiere bebe. Value
Points: very rare to find bebe with exceptional beauty,finest quality of bisque,luminous rich
eyes and eye decoration,original body and body finish.
