Of a crisp silk taffeta in a changeable-color brown,the rounded neckline gown has short pouf
sleeves with fitted cuffs,set-in waist,full skirt,and is trimmed with a beautiful and delicate
border of colorful flowers in silk threads that is repeated at the neckline and cuffs. Included is a
wide-brimmed black silk bonnet,drawstring pantalets,petticoat and chemise,and a pair of hand-
stitched leather slippers with knit stockings. Excellent condition. Circa 1840.
