Description
10" (25 cm.) A white fur-coated paper-mache bunny with long ears and amber glass eyes is
hiding inside a hollow paper-mache cabbage with fabric cabbage leaves. He is nibbling away at
the cabbage as a shred still remains in his mouth. When wound,he turns side to side,nibbling
away,and then,likely hearing the farmer approach,he quickly drops down into the cabbage and
hides. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Roullet et Decamps,from their series of
whimsical animal automata,early 20th century. Value Points: the timeless garden
activity,amusing to some but not the farmer,offers its endless amusement for more than a
century in a well-preserved condition.
