Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with oval-shaped face and elongated throat,fully sculpted
ears,sculpted blonde hair with pouf waves around the crown and sides of head captured by a
sculpted hair band,and drawn to the back into an elaborate double braided chignon with double
ringlet curls falling down onto the back shoulders; blue painted upper glancing eyes,red and
black upper eyeliner,painted brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accent line,muslin
stitch-jointed body,bisque lower limbs,fancily-painted white ribbed stockings and ankle boots
with spats,tassels and heels,nicely costumed in antique aqua silk. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: attributed to Conta and Bohne,circa 1875. Value Points: very rare coiffure with
intricate arrangement and details,beautiful bisque,wonderful original shoes.
