Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with slender oval face,elongated throat,blonde
sculpted hair waved away from her face and captured with grand-sized looping curls at the
sides and a loosely woven chignon at the back captured by a large sculpted barette; a bisque
rose and leaves decorate the center crown. She has painted bright blue eyes,with black
eyeliner,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,pierced ears,and a sculpted bodice with
defined tucks and a blue decorative bow,muslin body with bisque forearms,fancily painted
purple boots. Condition: generally excellent,left bisque leg restored. Marks: 5. Comments:
attributed to Conta and Bohme,circa 1875. Value Points: rare hair ornaments,sculpted bodice,and
wearing very fine original gown with applique paper stars.
