Description
9" (23 cm.) A simply crafted wooden chapel with bell dome and hinged door is set upon a
wooden platform with decorative papers. When wire hand-wind is turned,the door opens and a
brown-cloaked monk leaves the chapel; when turned in reverse,he re-enters. Condition:
generally excellent,some light fading to paper. Comments: Germany,circa 1880. Value Points: a
simple bazaar or penny toy with charming activity.
