35" (89 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,plumply-modeled features,pale blue enamel inset eyes,painted delicate lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with slight hint of smile,pierced ears,wheat-blonde hand-tied human hair wig,cork pate,French kid gusset-jointed poupee body,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12 (head and shoulders). Comments: attributed to Blampoix,circa 1860,the grand size of the poupee indicates its original creation as an Exhibition model. Value Points: extremely rare size of the early luxury poupee,wearing early folklore-style gown,undergarments,fichu,tablier and exquisite lace coiffe.
