Description
40" (102 cm.) A carved wooden horse in prancing pose with original rare grey color has amber
glass eyes,black mane and tail and an elaborate original leather saddle and harness decorations
with impressed designs and remains of original gold tooling. The horse is posed upon an ornate
black cast-iron frame with three wheels and pedals,and was designed to be ridden in tricycle
form. At the front is a brass plate with raised lettering from Au Paradis des Enfants toys shop in
Paris. Excellent condition,all-original finish with few paint rubs. French,circa 1870,very rare to
find with this color,this state of preservation,and original store label
