Description
16" (41 cm.) Earthenware shoulder head with head inclined slightly sideways and glancing
down,sculpted brown hair in long flowing curls,enamel eyes,heavy eyelids,closed mouth,hemp-
wrapped body and earthenware hands and lower legs with sculpted sandals on bare
feet,appropriately re-costumed in silks and velvet. Condition: head excellent,some restoration to
fingers,some paint wear on feet. Comments: mid-19th century. Value Points: beautifully
sculpted face and hair with original painting.
