Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso,plumply-shaped face with full
cheeks,blue glass eyes with spiral threading,painted lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center accent line,pierced ears,blonde mohair
wig,very shapely torso,peg-jointed bisque arms and legs modeled with bent elbows and
knees,bare feet,separately sculpted fingers,antique costume included. Condition: generally
excellent,tiny flakes at neck rim. Marks: 915 #3 (front crown rim). Comments: Alt,Beck and
Gottschalck,circa 1885,the model was designed to portray a young child with realistically
sculpted limbs,and to have the ability to lie,sit,or kneel. Value Points: extremely rare model,few
examples are known to exist,with wonderfully defined body dimples,finest quality of bisque.
