Description
21" (53 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with slightly-rounded oval face,strong
throat,pale complexion,brown sculpted hair arranged with two clusters of tiny ringlet curls at
the forehead centered by a sculpted blue striped bow,and then drawn behind the pierced ears
into a large looped chignon,cobalt blue glass inset eyes,delicately painted lashes and
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accent line between the lips,and
having a very fancy sculpted and painted bodice with stand-up ruffled collar edged with gold
beading and pink and white painted trim to simulate lace,newer muslin stitch-jointed
body,bisque forelimbs,painted white stockings,orange boots with tassels and heels,lovely silk
costume. Condition: generally excellent,restoration to the blue hair bow. Comments:
attributed to C.F. Kling,circa 1870. Value Points: very rare model whose rarity factors include
brown hair,cobalt glass eyes,and exceptional detail of modeled bodice.
