Description
2" (5 cm.) h. each (excluding plumes) and 2" head width. The superbly detailed miniature military
hats,likely created as milliner samples,have wool-flannel forms,firm brims with leather cover,and
are each decorated with gilded metal insignia,ribbons and feathers to indicate their station. Two
have original ink-lettered paper on inside to indicate the uniform,including Officiere Artillerie
1855 (white feather),and Ecole Imperiale Special Militaire Modele 1853 (eagle insignia). Excellent
condition. French,19th century.
