20" (51 cm.) Paper-mache shoulder head of adult lady with oval-shaped face and elongated
throat,black sculpted hair with centerpart,drawn behind her hidden ears into a very tightly
braided chignon,and having ringlet curls falling onto each side of her face,painted large blue
eyes,black eyeliner and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with unusual over-bite,slender kid
body with wooden limbs,painted blue shoes,nicely costumed in the 1840 mode. Condition:
generally excellent,some craquelure on shoulder plate. Comments: Germany,circa 1840. Value
Points: wonderful large model with distinctive expression achieved by larger eyes and unusual
lips.
