26" (66 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with long-faced modeling and full cheeks and
chin,almond-shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark painted eyeliner,painted curly
lashes,mauve blushed eye shadow,widely arched brush-stroked brows,gracefully curved nose
with shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips,dimpled
chin,philtrum and lip corners,separately-applied pierced ears,wheat blonde hand-tied human
hair wig,cork pate,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with
plump limbs,straight wrists,beautiful ivory satin dress with embroidered silk flowers,antique
bonnet,undergarments,stockings,shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Emile
Jumeau,his E.J.A. model that was made for two years only,1879-1881,this being the earliest
unsigned bebe. Value Points: splendid example with exemplary flawless bisque and
painting,beautiful original body and body finish,an especially beautiful model of the E.J.A.
bebe.
