Description
15" (38 cm.) Solid-domed bisque socket head with painted baby hair,an alternate face appearing
on either side of the head,one with brown glass inset eyes,painted lashes and brow,closed mouth
modeled as though open with defined tongue and teeth; and the other side with painted brown
eyes in a squinting manner,impressed frowning lines,mouth modeled open as though crying;
composition bent-limb baby body,antique costume with elaborately detailed embroidery.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 159 (happy face). Comments: Kley and Hahn,circa 1915.
Value Points: rare double-faced model with well-rendered features,amusing large ears,fine
quality of bisque.
