11" (28 cm.) Each has bisque socket head with glass inset eyes,painted features,closed mouth,and each is attached to its original hollow carton body that is wrapped in a taufling arrangement,with jointed composition arms. One has brunette hair and brown eyes,the other blonde hair and blue eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 5. Comments: Maison Bru,circa 1895. epoch Girard,during this period the bisque Bru heads were used for a series of novelty objects,with particular interest to the candy industry where they appeared as candy container themes. Value Points: completely original pair,wearing original white pique taufling costumes,with matching bibs,cap or cap,each designed with separating torso to allow the surprise presentation of candy treats.
