20" (51 cm.) Sculpted porcelain shoulder head depicting the English princess in early
adulthood,having sculpted very full brown hair with rolled curls,painted blue eyes,red and black
upper eyeliner,lightly painted lashes,feathered brows,strong nose,closed mouth with full
lips,pierced ears,original muslin body with porcelain lower limbs,gold shoes. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: M. Thompson Princess Margaret 1959. Comments: Martha Thompson,in
colloboration with her son Murray Thompson,1959,few examples of the portrait model are
known to exist. Value Points: the superb likeness is superbly rendered,accentuated with unusual
necklace and earrings that are sculpted and painted and then inlaid with turquoise beads.
