21" (53 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flattened solid dome on kid-edged bisque shoulder
plate,blue glass inset eyes,painted lashes,dark eyeliner,feathered brows,rose-blushed eye
shadow,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accent line between the
lips,pierced ears,brunette hand-tied human hair wig,kid lady body with gusset-jointing at
hips,knees and elbows. Condition: generally excellent,head and body not original but are
appropriately sized and of the same era,body exceptionally sturdy and clean. Marks: 106 11
(head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Sonneberg,mystery maker,circa 1885,the
doll was made to appeal to the French market. Value Points: rare model with expressive
features,very sturdy body,wearing beautiful antique maroon silk gown with lace and ribbon
trim,featherstitch embroidery,undergarments,leather shoes.
