Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,pale blue glass spiral- threaded eyes,dark upper eyeliner,painted curly lashes,lightly feathered brows that arch widely over the eyes,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accented lips,pierced ears. blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with distinctive square-cut collarette,lovely couturier costume of antique fabrics and laces. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: f. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1872,the model with smiling expression,inspired by the beloved Empress Eugenie,was deposed by that maker. Value Points: very beautiful poupee with lovely eyes,serene expression with charming enigmatic smile enhanced by finest quality of bisque and painting.
