14" (36 cm.) l. including trunk. 12"h. Firmly-stuffed grey flannel wool elephant has distinctive head stitching creating defined structure to the head, black bead eyes, stitched-on ears, stitched felt flannel trunk and tail, cream felt tusks, original red felt flannel blanket with gold embroidery, posed on metal rods with wooden wheels. Condition: generally excellent, blanket has some fading, rubbed original finish on wheels. Marks: Steiff (original block letter marking on button). Comments: Steiff, circa 1930. Value Points: rare-to-find wheeled elephant with original blanket.
