An elaborate arrangement of wrapped natural flax is decorated with gold metallic tassels and a generous bouquet of silver metallic flowers and leaves,the whole resting on a blue velvet cushion with gold metallic trim,which,in turn,is posed upon an ebonized wooden plinth decorated by a gilded symbol of man and woman clasping hands. French,late 19th century,a ceremonial wedding arrangement symbolizing the union of a young couple. Excellent condition.
